Mother, oh mother, a word so dear,
A name that's whispered with love and fear, For you're the one who gave us life,
Our first teacher, our guide, our strife.
You held us close when we were small,
You comforted us when we would bawl,
You gave us warmth and tender care,
And filled our days with love so rare.
You taught us to walk, to talk, to read,
You showed us the world, its beauty and need, You instilled in us values so fine,
And made us feel that everything is just fine.
You nurtured our dreams, encouraged our might,
You gave us wings, taught us to take flight,
You believed in us when we doubted ourselves,
And gave us strength to face life's tougheinst hells.
Your love is boundless, your heart so pure, Your smile can light up a world so obscure, You are our hero, our pillar of strength,
Our shining star, our greatest length.
So here's to you, dear mother of mine,
A treasure so rare, so divine,
We'll love you always, through thick and thin, For you're our mother, our everything.
