MAGNOLIA TREE
By Leah C Dancel
Under the spreading Magnolia Tree
I sit to meditate where the world
had been.
Did it lose its ancient values,
Based on high moral grounds?
Throngs of people are in awe to see
This imposing tree to them behold
Beauty and grandeur that it vies
By nature's rule, it stood the ground.
Birds take shield under its canopy
They find comfort as they bundled
In a cool shade needing solace
Away from the flaming orb.
