PIE
A humble pie
Good to satisfy
A rumbling tummy
With Grandma's pie.
Knead the dough
Let it rise through
A crunchy pastry
Bake for me and you.
Food for the poor.
Food for mediocre.
The rich love them more
Just like you and me.
There's a plain pie
And a shepherd pie
Beef and mushroom pies
You name them all.
Grandma's homemade pies
Are the best to vie
Than those that you buy
Taste nothing, but pies.
A humble pie
Delicious pie
Fill the rumbling tum-
Till you're satisfied.
