ANNETTE NASSER
Our gracious lady,
born modest,
a paragon of virtue,
who rules every page
of ILA's poetry.
Her heart, mind and soul
pours out her soft voice,
admonishing us gently
over our deportment
and demeanor.
Her love of literature and the arts
takes her wisdom at length
to which she espoused
creativity in us
to our sheer delight.
Her generosity knows no bounds
with no fences jarred all around;
Her welcome gesture
makes everyone feel at home.
Her indomitable spirit inspires us
as she celebrates with us in
our shining moments in whatever
endeavour we aspire and have achieved.
The Language and the Arts
through her guidance
steers the neophytes to grow
as we learn along with those
who are far ahead of us.
Today is the beginning
of the National Poetry Month,
so we thought of honouring
her a humble will...
a token of our appreciation
and gratitude.
