The Road
The road
Has many ups and downs.
There are uphills
And sometimes, downhills.
The road
May lead you to a direct path
But most of the time,
It is tiring and winding.
The road
Is traversable in all seasons.
It’s open in spring, summer or autumn
And even in winter, the journey must go on.
The road
Is not always made of perfect concrete.
Sometimes, it is rough and rocky
And there are times, it’s slippery and muddy.
The road
Is adorned with blades and thorns.
You might even bitten by a snake
Or a victim of a hit and run along your way.
The road
Is also shining with opportunities.
And at the end of the journey,
You could even smile as you peacefully close your eyes.
